"When I attended Pacific, I was married and had a young family," says Gene. "I remember what a financial struggle it was for Audrey and me. That is why it was important for us to create a student scholarship endowment for the school." Gene and Audrey will create their endowment with their Charitable Gift Annuity. While it will lessen the financial burden of many future Pacific students, it also supplements Gene and Audrey's retirement income now by providing an annual annuity check from the University. A Charitable Gift Annuity is a combination of a gift to the dental school and an annuity. The older the annuitant, the higher the rate of return. Payments are fixed, so you can count on the same check every year.
